About the Photos…

This C-130 Hercules turboprop is a military transport used by the Colorado National Guard. We were fortunate to have this amazing aircraft on display to photograph at Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Airshow.

The Rocky Mountain Aero Squadron pictured on this page is Colorado’s one and only squadron of ultralight pilots (powered gliders/paragliders).

Buck Roetman’s Pitts S-2S Special is featured on this page. Buck Roetman has been flying for over 35 years – he has flown more than 105 different types of airplanes, from Cubs to corporate jets.

Dan Buchanan launches his glider from a moving winch trailer, driving down the runway at about 35mph with the flag, streamers and bright orange smoke trailing. He steadily tow-climbs to an altitude of 1,200 -1,800′ while speaking live via a radio link to the audience. The photos on this page were taken at the Colorado Rocky Mountain Airshow on August 15, 2015.
