This project includes our gallery of Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, Castle Rock Colorado Photos. The pictures were captured from October 2016 through July 2017. The unmistakable landscape feature known as “The Rock” can be seen from Castle Rock’s many open spaces as well as Interstate 25. In this gallery you will see images of the Rock, wild flowers, snow capped Pikes Peak, beautiful sunrises and foggy mornings. Our project gallery also includes photos of fireworks over the Rock taken during last year’s Star Lighting Ceremony. Castle Rock Colorado can include a wide range of weather. From colorful sunsets, cloudy sunrises to rain and and snow in late spring, Castle Rock enjoys all four seasons. The old phrase, “if you don’t like the weather wait 10 minutes” truly does apply to Castle Rock and much of Colorado. We hope you enjoy the beauty of Castle Rock and its famous shining star illuminated by Fireworks as showcased in this photo gallery.

Gear Used to Capture the Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, Castle Rock Colorado Photos
The camera gear used to photograph the four seasons of Castle Rock Colorado includes the following:
- a Nikon D810 with a Nikon MB-D12 Battery Grip,
- a Nikon D750 with a Nikon MB-D16 Battery Grip,
- a Nikkor 24-70mm, f/2.8,
- a Nikkor 28-300mm, f/3.5-5.6,
- and a ThinkTank Digital Holster 40 V2.0,
- the Sony RX100 III.
- as well as an iPhone 7 Plus.
The photos using the D750 and D810 were shot using the Nikkor 28-300mm and a Nikkor 24-70mm, f/2.8 lens. The images were captured in the RAW format (including the ones with the iPhone 7 Plus). The exposures ranged between several seconds for the fireworks up to 1/250 of a second. The f-stops used were f/5.6 to f/11 with an ISO of 64 to 400.
