Images of Baker Mountain, Bowen Mountain in Kawuneeche Valley with the Never Summer Range – Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado. These images were captured on a mid summer morning in the Kawuneeche Valley at Rocky Mountain National Park. This scenic location is a small pond on the West Side of Rocky Mountain National Park. Our hope this day was to capture a beautiful sunrise over Bowen and Baker Mountain. This year saw late snows resulting in an abundance snow melt into the summer filling seasonal ponds and streams. As the dawn light began to illuminate the Continental Divide, you can see the clouds reflecting the beautiful magenta, orange and pink light. Soon after dawn, the mountain peaks were painted in the dappled morning light. These photos of Bowen and Baker Mountain in the Never Summer Range were taken on July 14, 2019 between 5:42am and 6:40am.

The photo to the right is a vertical image of Baker Mountain reflecting in a seasonal pond within the Kawuneeche Valley. These photos were all taken on the Really Right Stuff TVC-24 Mk2 Apex tripod. The Z7 exposures for the images averaged between .6 seconds to 1/60 of a second at f/9 and f/11. We used the Z7’s native ISO of 64. The horizontal panoramic photos shown in the main banner are composed of 9-10 vertical images and stitched together and and processed in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC. Some of the images on this page were created from multiple RAW files and merged into one 32 Bit file. We used Adobe Lightroom Classic CC to process the resulting merged DNG HDR File.
