Images of Lake Isabelle & Indian Peaks Wilderness Colorado

Here you will find sunrise images of Lake Isabelle & Indian Peaks Wilderness Colorado. This morning the wind were fairly strong so we decided to find a more sheltered are to capture these images. These photographs were taken from an outlet stream just below Lake Isabelle in the Brainard Lake recreation area. As the sun rose in the east, the light painted the clouds above in a pastel pink and purple. The muted tones of the dawn light quickly gave way dappled light revealing the beautiful white clouds above. This stunning alpine valley is framed by Navajo (13,409′), Apache (13,441′) and Shoshoni (12,967′) peaks. The Indian Peaks Wilderness encompasses more than 76,000 acres of pristine mountain wilderness immediately south of Rocky Mountain National Park. These photos of the Indian Peaks Wilderness from the outlet stream below Lake Isabelle were taken on July 27, 2019 between 5:40am and 6:58am.
