As you can see by the photos of Peak 9 in Breckenridge the Skiers were very happy with the conditions as many family were on the slopes taking advantage of the beautiful Thanksgiving day. Additional photos on this page of Lake Dillion and Breckenridge’s Peak 10 were taken in the afternoon from Sapphire Point Trail. Sapphire Point Trail is located off Swan Mountain Road (CO Road 1) halfway between Dillion and Frisco Colorado.

About The Location

Breckenridge Ski Resort is an alpine ski resort in the western United States, in Breckenridge, Colorado. Just west of the Continental Divide in Summit County, it is perennially one of the most visited ski resorts in the western hemisphere.

Dillon Reservoir, sometimes referred to as Lake Dillon, is a large fresh water reservoir located in Summit County, Colorado, south of I-70 and bordered by the towns of Frisco, Silverthorne, and Dillon. It is a reservoir for the city of Denver, and its waters are under the control of Denver Water. Popular ski areas are close to the reservoir, including Copper Mountain, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Breckenridge.
