Photos of Castle Rock Colorado Starlighting Fireworks with Pikes Peak in the Background: These Photographs of the yearly Castle Rock Starlighting Ceremony were taken in November of 2019. In the few images we took before the fireworks you can see Castle Rock covered in a fresh dusting of snow. The Castle Rock Starlighting has been a community event enjoyed by local residents dating back to 1936. In the spirit of volunteerism and generosity the Starlighting tradition is celebrated downtown on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We try to photograph the star lighting each year and this year we took a different approach, and sought a more unique aerial perspective of the event. This year’s event was help on November 23, 2019 and was attended by people from all across Douglas County and the Colorado Front Range.
