Photos of Colorado Rocky Mountain National Park Pine Forest in Mist and Fog. These photos of the Colorado Pine Trees in rolling fog and mist were captured along Trail Ridge Road. As we were heading up the road we came across this mystical scene as it unfolded before us. The fog and mist rolling between the Colorado Pines created a Heavenly sight for passers by to behold. A unique wether inversion rarely happens like this during the late afternoon in the Park. We were very fortunate to experience this weather anomaly. These photos of Rocky Mountain National Park were taken on October 1, 2019 between 4:39pm and 5:01pm.

Technical Details of Forest Fog Photos in Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado
The following camera gear was used in the Landscape Photography of rolling fog and mist within the Pine Trees at Rocky Mountain National Park:
- a Nikon Z7 with a Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
- F-Stop Gear Aloe Green Tilopa 50L Back Pack (with large Pro ICU),
- a Really Right Stuff TVC 34L tripod,
- with a Really Right Stuff BH-50 LR Ballhead,
- the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens,
- and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
The black and white sepia photo to the right was taken on the Nikon Z7 and the Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens at 39mm. We captured this image as the fog and mist began to roll through the forest, changing the scene from moment to moment. The Z7 exposures for the images averaged between 1/2 of a second to 1/15 of a second at f/8 and f/11. We used the Z7’s lower ISO setting of 31. The iPhone panorama image (in header) specs were, 6mm, ISO 25 at 1/5300 of a second at f/2.0 hand held. Adobe Lightroom Classic CC is our editing and Digital Asset Management tool of choice. These are all single RAW files processed as DNG files with the exception of the iPhone XS Max photos.
