Photos of Longs Peak from Upper Beaver Meadows in RMNP. These photographs are the result of a location scouting trip made after visiting Dream Lake. Snow capped Longs Peak is set against a backdrop of beautiful blue skies and altocumulus white clouds. These spectacular views of Long Peak, framed by Colorado pine trees and grassy meadows are from an area around Upper Beaver Meadows. The photos of Long Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park were taken between 8:15am and 9:00am on April 28, 2018.

Gear Used to Photograph Longs Peak from Upper Beaver Meadows at RMNP
The following camera gear was used in the Colorado Landscape Photography of Snow Capped Longs Peak from Upper Beaver Meadows at Rocky Mountain National Park:
- a Nikon D850 with MB-D18 Battery Grip & Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
- F-Stop Gear Aloe Green Tilopa 50L Back Pack (with large Pro ICU),
- Really Right Stuff TVC 34L tripod a with a BH-50 Ball Head,
- a Gitzo CF6X Mountaineer 2 tripod (GT2530),
- the Nikkor AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8,
These early spring photos were all taken with a Really Right Stuff TVC 34L tripod. The exposures for the images average between 1/100 of a second to 1/200 second at f/11 with an ISO of 64. All of these images were created from a single exposure and processed in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC. The black and white photo (shown at right) was created using DXO’s Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. The warm tone of the B&W photo was added using split toning in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC.
