Sunrise Photos of Castle Rock Colorado Summer of 2019. These Colorado Landscape Photographs of Castle Rock were taken in the Summer of 2019. Colorful and dramatic clouds can be seen floating in the skies above Castle Rock in these Summer sunrise photographs. You can see sweeping pastel colors, dramatic white clouds, as well as colorful shafts of virga over the rock. The colorful skies make for stunning vistas of Castle Rock in these images. In the first images you can see purple and pink pastel morning clouds above the rock and along the horizon. These mid to late Summer photos of Castle Rock Colorado were taken at sunrise from late July to early September in 2019.

Gear Used to Photograph Castle Rock Colorado Sunrise in Summer 2019
The following camera gear was used in the Castle Rock Colorado Landscape Photography at Sunrise:
- a Sony RX100 M6 with Leather Case,
- and an iPhone XS Max.
These Summer sunrise photos were all taken hand held. The exposures for the sunrise images averaged between 1/25 of a second to 1/460 second at f/1.8 to f/2.4 on the iPhone. We used the iPhone and Sony RX100 M6’s Auto ISO setting when taking these photos. The ISO ranged from 125 up to 400. All of the photos were processed from single exposures and exposing for the highlights while bringing up the shadows. This process was done in order to retain the high dynamic tonal range of the early morning light of Summer. We used Adobe Lightroom CC Classic to process all images after the Sony RAW (ARW) files were converted to the DNG file format.
