Photos of Deer Mountain Sunrise Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado. These images of Deer Mountain were captured on a cloudy and foggy spring morning. As luck would have it there was a beautiful dusting of snow the night before blanketing the scene in crystalline white. We stopped at Many Parks Curve to take in the wintery view. Our hopes of a dramatic scene with beautiful light filtering through the low lying clouds were soon realized. The fog and clouds hovering over the snow covered peaks gave us amazing conditions of constantly changing color and light. Those ever changing conditions provided us with these spectacular views. As the low lying clouds and rolling fog began to clear, this colorful landscape was revealed. These sunrise photos of Deer Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado were taken on May 10, 2019 between 5:31am and 6:10am.

The following camera gear was used in the Landscape Photography of Deer Mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado:
- the Nikon Z7 with a Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
- NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens,
- a Nikon D850 with a Really Right Stuff L-Bracket,
- an AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR lens,
- a Really Right Stuff TVC 34L tripod,
- with a Really Right Stuff BH-50 LR Ballhead,
- and a F-Stop Gear Aloe Green Tilopa 50L Back Pack (with large Pro ICU).
The photo to the right was taken on the Nikon D850 and 70-200mm lens at 82mm. We captured this image as the fog was rolling over the peaks and valleys. The warm sunrise providing us with a colorful back drop. The Z7 exposures for the images averaged between 1.6 seconds to 1/10 of a second at f/9. The D850 exposures for the images averaged between 1/25 of a second to 1/50 of a second at f/11. We used the Z7’s and D850’s native ISO of 64. Adobe Lightroom Classic CC is our editing and Digital Asset Management tool of choice. All but two of the images are single RAW files processed as DNG files. The two HDR images are comprised of 4 different exposures at one full stop apart.
