About the Rocket and the United Rocket Launch Alliance Program

This 17-foot rocket is part of a special student program sponsored by United Launch Alliance (ULA) and Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. Summer college interns at ULA build several rockets and Ball interns design and build payloads. Elementary, middle, and high school teams also have the unique opportunity to build payloads for these launches. The ULA also had a rockets and payloads on exhibit at the airshow’s Adventure Zone and Space Pavilion.
