Photos of Longs Peak Reflections in Alpine Pond Below Chasm Lake RMNP Colorado: In the photo gallery below is a seasonal pond that we found located just below Chasm Lake. Unable to resist a a beautiful landscape with a mirror reflection, we stopped to capture the scene presented to us. The clouds forming above help to add dimension to our image by casting dappled light onto Longs Peak Diamond. These photos of Longs Peak reflecting in a seasonal alpine pond were taken on August 1, 2019 at 6:57am to 7:22am. Gear Used to Photograph Columbine Falls Just Below Chasm Lake RMNP
The following camera gear was used in the Landscape Photography of Columbine Falls Just Below Chasm Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park:
- a Nikon Z7 with a Really Right Stuff Modular L-Bracket,
- F-Stop Gear Aloe Green Tilopa 50L Back Pack (with large Pro ICU),
- a Really Right Stuff TVC-24 Mk2 Apex tripod,
- the Series 2 Leveling Base,
- with a Really Right Stuff BH-40 LR Ballhead,
- and the Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4 S lens.
These photos were all captured using the Z7 and the 14-30mm Lens on the Really Right Stuff TVC-24 Mk2 Apex tripod. The Z7 exposures for the images averaged between 1/30 of a second to 1/80 of a second at f/11. We used the Z7’s native ISO setting of ISO 64. With the amazing dynamic range of the Nikon Z7 we were able to captured all these images in one exposure. All photos have been developed in Adobe Lightroom CC.
