Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo – Photos

by | Sep 15, 2015 | Colorado Pictures and Events

The Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo will almost double in size this year. It has increased from 40 acres to 70 acres of Denver Zoo’s campus. There is nightly entertainment, live animal education, and an appearance of Santa. There are more than 150 illuminated and animated animal sculptures. The sculptures swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes and appear in unexpected places. This year the event runs from December 4 until January 3. It’s one of Denver’s most popular events. It’s great opportunity for all ages to enjoy the holidays or kick off the New Year.

Event Info

Daytime admission (including membership) does not include Zoo Lights. Denver Zoo will close at 5 p.m. (gates close at 4 p.m.) and reopen at 5:30 p.m. for Zoo Lights.
